Released this thing!

Enveloper is out! Yay! If you have a printer go play it ♡
Itch says devlogs will help me reach more people, so I'm like, yeah man I'll write something.
I made this for a uni course but I'm pretty happy with the result. Basically its a turn-based strategy combat roguelite, bitcrushed into a tabletop game! You collect cool, powerful creatures and combine them to make even cooler, more powerful creatures. Then you thrash some opponents that want you dead. It's cool I promise.
There are 16 different creatures that you can collect, but you'll never see that many in a single run. There are also 12 unique encounters, but a typical run will only see 7 of them. Replayability! Maybe.
I playtested the rules to hell and back, but they are a bit weird. That's intentional. Hopefully people can still figure out how to play...
I've discovered that tabletop games are a whole different beast from video games. It's harder to update them, harder to write rules, harder to design game system, etc. I'm not sure it's my cup of tea. I'm still glad I made this, though. It would certainly have been easier to make this a video game, but I think the physical aspect of it adds a bit to the experience.
In case you can't tell, I have no idea how to write a devlog. I'm just rambling about random game-related thoughts. If you wanna play it, go play it. If you don't wanna play it, that makes me a little bit sad but I understand :(
While you're playing, if you're ever unsure of how any particular behavior or phenomenon works, just go with what helps you the most. It's more fun that way.
If you have no idea how to play after following the rules then I'm a failure. Leave a comment if you want!
btw if you think I deserve a couple bucks feel free to donate :)
